Five minutes with model Jordan Eggert on VFW – F/W 2015

L&V: “At what point in your life did you decide you wanted to be a male model and why?”

JE: “A couple years ago I think it was, kind of just as a thought like “wouldn’t it be cool to be a model?” never really thought it was a possibility though. And isn’t the why obvious? Haha. Getting paid to have your photograph taken, wear all these cool clothes, go all these places. From the outside looking in the modelling lifestyle seems so dreamy and desirable.”

L&V: “Can you tell us a bit about yourself, where are you from and how long have you been modeling?”

JE: “I’m from Vancouver, and been modelling for about a year now.”

L&V: “If you weren’t pursuing a career in modeling what would you be doing?”

JE: “Pretty much the same I’m doing now except more of it. I enjoy creating arts, so probably more of that, an exhibition in a gallery maybe?”

L&V: “Who or what inspires you?”

JE: “Inspirations change almost daily for me, but lately the model Tony Ward has been a good source.”

L&V: “Is this your first time modeling for Vancouver Fashion Week?”

JE: “This is my second season at VFW.”

L&V: “You’ve had the pleasure of walking VFW Fall/Winter 2015 runway each day throughout its complete duration, what has been the reaction so far?”

JE: “So many good collections! Honored to be a part of all these amazing shows.”

L&V: “We know you’re in a sea of talented designers but is there one who is currently resonating with you and why?”

JE: “Hong Kiyoung. I remember being in the lineup looking at all the looks in his collection and going “want, want, want”. Just the whole vision, vibe and production that he has with every collection is always on point and aesthetically amazing.”

L&V: “Of all the amazing looks and labels you’ve sported this week, which is your favorite?”

JE: “The look I was wearing for Hong Kiyoung.”

L&V: “Have you been recruited by any Vancouver or international agencies through this experience?”

JE: “I am currently represented by Charles Stuart International Models, locally here in Vancouver.”

L&V: “Can we expect to see more of Jordan Eggert next season at Vancouver Fashion Week?”

“Quite possibly!”

L&V: “What words would you like to leave with other aspiring Canadian models?”

JE: “Do your thing, be yourself, don’t take yourself too seriously and have fun with it.”
